I’ve had 30 years of this on my lawn . Surely I am eligible for free panels and a windmill . Why should I be deprived. Me too .

You certainly should be. Also, you get lots of free fertiliser, all natural. Lucky you.

Happy New Year! Thank you for sharing!! 🤣 Your story has encapsulated the energy transition perfectly! Anger and incredulity, although a "free" energy source can provide the needed energy boost but they're not reliable and on-demand sources like caffeine. Also, attempts to keep the levels of anger and incredulity at levels necessary for continuous work throughout the day may create worse health effects than if you regulated your caffeine intake.

These are excellent points I did not consider! LOL! Dogs -- same as solar.

That was so funny I'm struck by vision envy, for lacking the view of this particular instance, it nevertheless made my new year laugh heartily. Hat's off to you, my dear Irina. Blessings.

At least they wagged their tails, rather than their fingers at you, Irina. Happy New Year.

I prefer dense energy, and thus, Red Bull.

Great analogy. 😆 Happy New Year!

25 years ago I planted 2 apricot trees here on the farm and they did well for several years until one fierce winter took them both away from me. Very anger inducing! Winters are no longer what they were and so I’m taking a chance and have ordered a new apricot for the spring. Fortunately we have no dog and my neighbour is 300 metres away and if I’m lucky I’ll be sharing your experience of picking my own fresh apricots if a few short years. Cheers to a great apricot future.

Here's to apricots! We had two big old apricot trees but only one made edible fruit. It has now, alas, died. The one I mentioned in the video makes small and unappetising fruit but oh, the shade it gives! It's enormous and so beautiful we don't begrudge it the fruit.

So, you're saying that we should use a rolled up newspaper when dealing with Extinction Rebellion-types...? Or, maybe, rubbing their noses in the asphalt?

Sounds like a plan!

I like the second option better but that's because I'm a bad person. :D

Good luck kicking the caffeine habit, but I’ll stick with my highly caffeinated tea! Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Alas, I won't be giving up any time soon unless those dogs decide to make a habit of what they did. Hopefully, they won't.

Happy New Year Irina!

I'm with you on the caffeine, solar has made me give it up this year! On to decaff now, but there again I am a LOT older than you my dear... so that will be my excuse. This year my terms and conditions have been rather more difficult too!! Replacement parts needed!

Now about those dogs... being a dog fan I hate to put them in the same boat as solar, or the dummies from Just Stop Oil, but the crap on the lawn I do get, and like wind and solar those dogs will just leave their crap behind!

When I need to get a boost in the morning I can just go to Linkedin and read some of the nonsense from the renewables crowd... instant anger and I have to say wonder at just how ridiculous some people can be! But not today!

It's a good day and it is going to be a great year - I have decreed it!

That's a good option, too, JF, indeed. Social media for your daily dose of energising anger.

I like dogs, even more now that I'm not afraid of them. But we have rules in this garden. :D
