“Germany Is Dismantling A Wind Farm To Make Way For A Coal Mine

Posted by EU Times on Oct 29th, 2022

A wind farm is being dismantled in western Germany to make way for an expansion of an open-pit lignite coal mine in a “paradoxical” situation highlighting the current prioritization of energy security over clean energy in Europe’s biggest economy.”

I'm really hoping that this glaring dose of energy reality will awaken the EU voters to the fact that they're about to go off an energy cliff.

Yes - the TotalEnergies lawsuit made me smile too - but there again I hope they are not too litigious, I am working with people here to run them off from a small solar farm (800 acres) they plan!!! The Tax abatement Ch 313 here in Texas goes away at the end of the year so we may get a few months of fresh air and break from fighting solar! More turn downs on building solar facilities here too, they will have to build without the local tax abatements. (that's me smiling!!!) More people getting informed, but so many now having to go through this agony! Thinking about writing a piece on the human suffering of those involved living next to these things, having to fight them and having to live with the loss of their investment in their property. (One lady has solar on 4 sides of her retirement home of 23 acres.) My good news is the resilience of the human spirit, warriors abound! Keep up your good work of keeping us all informed.

Good news that China received some late rains that prevented their wheat crop from being a disaster. It wasn’t an awesome crop, but was much better than feared in March. That’s good news for a lot of people in China.

What we common folk do not understand is climate change only applies to us not the rich folks that can afford their private jets. LOL one billionaire sold his jet because he did not want to be tracked and all aircraft are tracked. You will pay for the air that you breathe.

I am not going to deny climate change, but this process has happened since the formation of the planet Earth. Hey, we have been a ball of Ice twice and probably more, but we cannot go all the way back on the timeline.

What sickens me is these hypocrites telling me we are going to die soon and every forecast from this bunch every single one has not come to pass, and people go crazy over this crap science. Believe this crap and all this time those in charge along with corporations continue to pollute this planet. We see the ocean with plastic islands the size of Texas and they want to point the finger at you and me. Well, your local and state governments are to blame, and we did nothing to stop them. They loaded barges and dumped the stuff there.

Irina I have tried to become a paying member but I am denied for some reason. Can you PM me from this site?

, period.

We are being force-fed priorities that are not actually priorities, yes.

Weird about subscribing. Maybe contact Substack support, they're the ones that handle everything. If you don't find anything on their FAQ page, here's a link to submit a request: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

They're normally quite fast.

One I've seen recently is that Greenpeace no longer recommends separating plastic for recycling because too much ends up exported to poor countries only to find its way into the sea. We are now encouraged to do what the market provided for yrs ago and simply put it in with non-recylables. This proves my iron law that Govt diktat only ever makes things net worse.

That's a real breakthrough, yes. We stopped separating the plastics when we realised there is no recycling plant anywhere near here, so the garbage was just getting dumped in the landfill. What's the point, then?
