Maybe get a lot more serious about reviving the JCPOA?

Expand full comment

JCPOA was a sorry joke. Mullahs are not to be trusted. Of course the US dishonored every treaty with Native Americans but that's different; or is it?

Agree.

I was replying to the title question, what is the Soros administration likely to do next?

The one that stuck out to me was the Biden administration calling this move "A Hostile Act".

Isn't that usually reserved for acts of war and stuff?

It should be but as an analogy toward how politicians act when they’re scared and don’t know what else to do, Trudeau did invoke the Canada Emergencies Act for the very inconvenient and unruly (not violent) truckers protest last February. I believe the truckers were wielding bbq tongs….so justified.

Good point. Tyrants gonna sow tyranny, right?

Also, if OPEC's decision to cut production is a hostile act, how does Biden escape being labeled a hostile actor given his administrations efforts to cut US oil production?

More than just "efforts" too, they've basically gutted it, as promised.

Putin aligning with OPEC+ is a smart move, in comparison Biden regime rattling talk of using tactical nuclear weapons (supposedly in response to Putin’s alleged comments).

Easy peasy.

Say, "Well, WE (that's the Royal WE, peasants) never asked them to increase OR decrease. Next question.

On to the next manufactured drama!!!!! Which is arresting Hunter for overdue library books so they can find him guilty and Dad can pardon him of ALL wrongdoing on his way out.

Haha, this is a good one, I hadn't thought about that. But plausible, given how short the perceived memory and attention span of humanity has become.

Ask them if the prefer the 5th Fleet protecting their sorry asses or the PLAN in the same waters. They may play us for financial suckers, but we could have annexed Kuwait in 1991, and made it the 51st state. If they say no we'd rather have them in these bases, we either call their bluff (or they call ours) or there goes the apple-cart... https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=12AO9A22Cjkv3pG_tyiIx468a8WpqTaJU&ll=24.100273228968998%2C50.96329327332468&z=4

The US response: something along the lines of “a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”.

Biden will bitch a bit, loudly blame the Saudis and Russians for high gas prices, and use the SPR to make sure gas at the pump doesn’t go up much before the midterm elections in early November.

After that he’ll allow oil to rise, he wants it higher anyway as an ESG zealot, but he’ll continue to bitch about the Saudis for domestic political reasons without actually doing anything.

It’s weird, but his biggest enemies are our biggest oil producers- the US oil industry is enemy #1 and the Saudis are enemy #2. It’s all just smoke & mirrors to allow him to push unpopular policies that will require demand destruction, which he believes is for the good of the planet.

He's really turned blaming everyone else for his own administration's mistakes into a fine art, we've got to give him that.

Biden response: blame OPEC+ for high oil prices and the defeat of his political party at the midterm elections, instead of accepting responsibility for the consequences of his own anti- oil & gas policies. COME ON MAN!!

While it could be it be political retribution against SPR releases, Could it be a subtle admission that OPEC + are actually out of capacity. Sleepy Joe and Trudeau might need to consider adding their own capacity and reduce the political b/s to fix this shortage. Unfortunately I cant see it ( example look at the Dem/green reaction to the Governor of Virginias " all of the above " approach to energy production including nuclear- they simply cannot make trade offs from the extreme views ). Whats more likely is a political nonsense response like a ban on US crude exports. Brent will go bananas if that happens. Situation is surreal. US have bucket loads of their own energy resources.

Oh, they were actually pretty open about their spare capacity because it suits them to be open right now.

I hope this is not what happens, but six months of rolling news coverage in the US and west about human rights abuses in Saudi Arabia and how evil they are, followed by a US attempt to invade the country/launch a coup and install new leaders.

Never really understood the obsession with the Washington DC set on the Ukraine for the past eight years, relationships in the Middle East are far more important than Eastern Europe as that's where most of the world's remaining oil resources are.

Right, stick to the classic scenario. As for the Ukraine obsession, the answer, I think, is money. Lots of it.
