anyone who has ever cooked on a woodstove knows the danger of "boiling over".....if the liquid overtops the rim of the pot and descends to the fir below, it can put out the fire.
With the President now caught in direct evidence of selling his influence to foreign powers, and also in a direct order to Facebook to censor the truth about covid on Facebook, with EV sales failing and the grid in the central Atlantic states in danger of collapse, it does appear that events have led us to this point.
A skilled cook with quick reflexes can still take the pot off the fire and rescue the coals from extinction. I am glad that I am far enough away to watch calmly, having already had my own breakfast.....
Another FANTASTIC article. Might they go down the "Spontaneous Combustion" rabbit hole? That sounds pretty scary, & I'm sure it would cost in the Quadrillions of dollars to prevent it from happening. Here in central Oklahoma we are having a nice summer. We average 71 days of 90F or more annually, & have had 28 through July 27. The annual avg for temps of 100F or more is 11, & so far we have had only one. We had a few days with a very high heat index (> 105F), but it was due to the large amount or rain we received during the first half of July. Above avg rain with avg Summer temps here in the heartland. We've got no complaints & our AC was out for two weeks.
Ditto, for the southwest area of Missouri, where it just seems like a somewhat normal summer. Minus the severe storm and tornado threats we're used to this time of year. Rather pleasant temps and weather so far. But, it is the mid-south, so I've been told, and that could change in a NY minute.
The folks in this part of the country are watching the morons in guvmint, including the UN, make their over the top statements and are thoroughly convinced that the world is in deep doo-doo, not from the climate(weather), but from their insane proclamations of doom and gloom. The leaders at all levels need to get out more and quit spending so much time in their echo chamber bubbles. Oh, and get real jobs where there is no such thing as free money to back them up in their silliness. Reminds me of the oil snake salesmen of days gone by. Punctum.
Ditto for Waterloo Ontario - summer is actually a little cooler it seems to me. Nothing boiling, our pool still requires the heater running to be tolerable. Lots of rain in this part of Canada, our trees have been very happy. However, this is unlike some of the well publicized fire locations in the Great White North. The fires were all "Climate Change" except where they were not. Like on Vancouver Island where only 1 of the many fires were due to natural causes - rest from good old fashioned human actions.
I was talking about Victoria and Vancouver Island Canada. Also Yellowstone in the USA. Had not read about Australia. Climate change or arson as we also know it is a truly global phenomenon.
That was back in 2019, when there were a lot of wildfires in Australia and the fear-mongers did not miss the opportunity to blame it on climate change. Same textbook, apparently.
So outrageously ridiculous and with Guterres’ previous crap spewing you’d think people would quit listening. But then who really does listen to Guterres or anything to do with the UN?
Time for both to go.
But maybe these outrages are to take attention away from something else . . . . Is the UN behind on paying bills, again?
Folks may not be listening to Guterres specifically, but Guterres spews a press release and all the media credulously picks it up and repeats it, and suddenly everyone is hearing Guterres's drivel on the news as if it's truth. They probably don't even know it originates with him.
A well-crafted article! To continue the metaphor, the reason "Climate change has been moving down people’s priority list" is because the people are well-fed, actually quite full, and want no more!
Interesting Irina, and it may be of interest that Neil Oliver of: Scottish television presenter, archaeologist, historian, conspiracy theorist, and author; covered similar topic a few days ago with his diatribe monologue: “Neil Oliver: Weather maps are among the most blatant forms of fearmongering deployed so far - YouTube”: https://youtu.be/lvvBp25eh0U 🤔
Maybe you’re right, but that’s what Wikipedia stated, and Freshers LIVE - “Neil Oliver Illness, What Happened to Neil Oliver? … - Neil Oliver has become deeply entangled in conspiracy theories over the past two years. He delivers weekly monologues on GB News, a controversial TV station. In one broadcast, he claimed there was a "silent war" to establish a "one-world government," echoing anti-Semitic mythologies.”🤔
Okay so you don’t like Wikipedia, did give another example of what’s out there on MSM and SM land, I’m only the messenger don’t shoot me. and don’t get sucked by the conspiracy vortex. You might like: “Hypernormalisation”, BBC Film by Adam Curtis, available on YouTube🤔
No way! From Wikipedia to the BBC. From bad to worse.
Ask BBC about all the nutty, wacky, childish Russia conspiracy theories they've been touting the last 6 yrs. And white supremacist conspiracies. And Jan 6 Trump conspiracies. No end to them.
Have you tried going out for a long walk in the woods, maybe hug a tree or two, see if you can hear what the Mycelium is tell the trees of your presence, contemplate on that instead of getting yourself all worked up over something you’ve no control over; peace be with you, feel the force 👍
At the WEF in January 2023 Al Gore painted a better picture.
He asked, "People are familiar with that thin blue line that the astronauts bring back in their pictures from space? That’s the part of the atmosphere that has oxygen, the troposphere, and it’s only five to seven kilometers thick. That’s what we’re using as an open sewer."
He continued, "We’re still putting 162 million tons [of greenhouse gas] into it every single day and the accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth."
He blamed this phenomenon for a host of problems he claimed humanity is currently facing. Raising his voice, he said, "That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, and creating the droughts, and melting the ice and raising the sea level, and causing these waves of climate refugees!"
What? Who is "Al Gore" and why is he still being presented as a spokesperson/expert on anything except lining his pockets? Along with the rest of the "climate" doomsayers, he needs to be shuffled off to the irrelevant category given his track record of prediction failures. Is there a rest home for useless shills and clowns? Needs to be.
Yes "Al Gore" made almost all his wealth in the Carbon Trading scam of which he also played a role in creating. Government guaranteed profits. And his anti-Nuclear stance makes him one of the most guilty persons on the planet for INCREASING emissions.
A few days ago, Rodger Pielke Jr. (University of Colorado), on substack.com, had an interesting discussion, with useful information, on the recent media hyping of heat waves. ..."The legacy media, pretty much everyone, has been hyping and promoting weather extremes this summer at hyperbolic levels. There is still some excellent reporting from the legacy media, such as this from the Financial Times* — note that it is from a journalist who is not on the climate beat. But the signal of good reporting is difficult to see in the avalanche of noise hyping every weather event anywhere on the planet."...
Irina, you've outdone yourself here, which is really saying something!
Here in the US, we're being treated to "FLA ocean water hits 101 degrees!", but not mentioning that it was measured in 6" deep water. We've had the ridiculous "feels like" temps around for a bit, which is also about as unscientific as it gets.
It's also been a very quiet Atlantic Hurricane season so far, (fingers crossed, as we have a place on the coast), after NOAA breathlessly telling us it was going to be the worst Hurricane season EVAH!
Add to all this the advice of former ENRON advise and leftist hack Paul Krugman, who last week opined thusly in the NYT:
"Why We Should Politicize the Weather"
Paul Krugman - The New York Times - July 18, 2023
But we absolutely should politicize the weather. In practice, environmental policy probably won’t be a central issue in the 2024 campaign, which will mainly turn on the economy and social issues. Still, we’re living in a time of accelerating climate-related disasters, and the environmental extremism of the Republican Party — it is more hostile to climate action than any other major political party in the advanced world — would, in a more rational political debate, be the biggest election issue of them all."
We, too, have a "feels like" section on the weather forecast. I've always assumed it's because of the wind. When the wind blows straight from the North Pole, it does feel even colder. No such "feels like" section in the summer, though.
I take it as a good sign that they've grown so desperate.
They were slow boiling the frog and now the frog has jumped out of the pan. it's over for climate alarmists. Also, you can't argue that the planet is on fire (because arsonists set it on fire) AND that we have entered the era of global boiling; you don't get flames when you're boiling liquid, you just get evaporation, which means more clouds, more rain. Guterres picked the wrong metaphor - he should have said we've entered the era of global flash-frying.

You've cooked up a good article Irina
Thank you. I paid for it dearly -- a few hours later I made a cake without sugar, literally. :D
We have reached the boiling point of government disinformation.
Superb Parody. Thanks and keep it up, without boiling over!

You mean, like "Australia is burning because of climate change" and then some media shyly report about more than 100 arrests for arson?
I was talking about Victoria and Vancouver Island Canada. Also Yellowstone in the USA. Had not read about Australia. Climate change or arson as we also know it is a truly global phenomenon.

Thank you! Yes, I won't put it beside the Guterreses to go down that rabbit hole. They're out of options.
Sammy “Would an occasional blackout help solve climate change?” Roth oughta sue Gurierres for his use of “boiling”
Roth, employee of Enemy of Californians propaganda rag LA Times writes “Boiling Point” for said publication.

Yes, I suspect it's a diversion tactic and it's not only the UN.

He's not a "conspiracy theorist". He's a conspiracy factualist.

Wikipedia garbage. Wikipedia is just a propaganda outlet. The only thing you can use it for is subjects that have no political or economic dimension.
The Truth: Neil Oliver is the best. A real hero in the battle against Tyranny.

Just another lying grifter, making BILLIONS playing the scare monger, while living in his bubble of protection.

I'm impressed. He certainly knows his imagery. Too bad he's overdoing it.

Fantastic article. I only hope that voters have woken up and vote with their wallet rather than feelings.
