I have two natural gas furnaces. I'm not rich but I was a physician and I can afford to pay for heat but I prefer to scavenge firewood split, stack and get all that good exercise and then subsidize my heating with it. I love watching the kids get up in the morning and hold their little butts to the wood burner. Reminds me of when I was a kid. The climate police can pound sand. I don't know about the UK but here in the USA if they come for my wood burner they better take the downrange driveway. Lol In the meantime it's snowing in Houston Texas. That must be the global warming that they weren't us about. I mean think about it it's so damn warm that it's snowing down south where they have no snow removal equipment.
Wood is reliable and creates that special cosy atmosphere nothing else can create. Also good exercise in collecting it, yes. My daughter likes to stand in front of the burner, too. Interferes with my view of the flames. :D
As for snow it Texas, well, that's why they went from global warming to climate change, implying all weather is climate change. Clever, can't deny them that.
